Prof. (Dr.) David Tann; Vice Provost (Technology) and Dean of School of Architecture, Computing and Engineering at University of East London
A Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers, Professor Tann’s career spans both industry and academia. Before transitioning into academia, he designed high-profile hotel and office buildings in Cardiff, overseeing multimillion-pound projects. Professor Tann has contributed significantly to research in areas such as strengthening and repair of degraded concrete structures and the development of low carbon energy technologies as educational tools. His work has been recognised in various journals and international conferences.

Mete Coban MBE; Deputy Mayor of London for Environment and Energy
Mete became the Deputy Mayor of London for Environment and Energy in July 2024, overseeing the Mayor’s world-leading climate action plan for the capital. Before becoming Deputy Mayor, Mete was a Councillor and Cabinet Member for Climate Change, Environment, and Transport in the London Borough of Hackney, delivering a £61 million Green New Deal to tackle the climate crisis. He is best known for pioneering Hackney’s Community Energy Fund, providing clean, green, community-owned energy to 39 not-for-profits.

MODERATOR – Prof. Anusha Shah; Senior Director, Resilient Cities and UK Climate Adaptation Lead at Arcadis and current President of the Institution of Civil Engineers
Anusha is the current president of the Institution of Civil Engineers. She’s the third woman and first person of color to be elected as president in over 200 years of ICE history. She’s a senior director for resilient cities and UK climate change adaptation lead at Arcadis, a non-executive director at the Met Office, a trustee at the Green Alliance and a visiting professor at Edinburgh University. Anusha specialises in water and environmental engineering and has over 22 years of experience in designing, managing and leading projects and programmes in the UK and internationally.
Ian Steward; Director of Recoup Energy Solutions
Ian was one of the co-founders of Recoup Energy Solutions Ltd in 2011, the first UK company specialising in Waste Water Heat Recovery Systems. He now has 12 years experience with the technology, its role within the wider hot water system and how the technology can significantly help reduce energy use within the home and on the wider energy infrastructure.
Nicci Russell; CEO of WaterWise
Nicci has 25 years experience in the water and environmental sectors as an impactful and award-winning leader and campaigner. She is CEO of Waterwise, the UK’s not-for-profit environmental campaigning organisation on water efficiency. Nicci is an Honorary Fellow of the Chartered Institution for Water and Environmental Management, a Fellow of the Institute of Water, and a long-time judge for the Institute of Water’s Innovation Awards and the Water Industry Awards. In 2022 she received the Future Water Association’s ‘People’ Award for her work on diversity and inclusion and water efficiency. In 2023 she received a British Water Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Water and Wastewater Industry, for championing water efficiency along with diversity and inclusion.
Annabel Moore; Senior Associate at Ofwat
Annabel is a passionate Senior Associate at Ofwat with a background in Marine and Freshwater Biology. She began her career as an Aquatic Consultant in the private sector before moving to the Environment Agency in 2021, and later joined Ofwat in 2023. In 2022, she was recognised as the runner-up for CIWEM’s Young Environmentalist of the Year. With a strong grasp of industry challenges, Annabel is committed to shaping policies that support sustainable and equitable water access. She’s driven by a desire to create innovative solutions that will benefit both people and the environment.

MODERATOR – Gregory Holliday; Director, 50L Home
Prior to joining WBCSD, Greg was a U.S. diplomat for 22 years. He served in Latin America, Africa, Asia, and Washington D.C. in a number of policy areas including human trafficking, migration, transnational crime, counter-piracy, citizen security, and water. In addition to policy work and intelligence analysis, he developed and managed international programs in some of these same issue areas, working closely with partners in foreign governments, civil society, international organizations, and the private sector.

With more than 25 years of experience in P&G R&D, Frantz is a passionate serial Innovation Leader with high sustained track-record across multiple categories on leading Brands like Ariel, Tide, Daz, Flash, Swiffer. Mr. Clean/Proper. Frantz’ motto is to “Make Sustainable Irresistible®” for the 5Bn consumers that P&G serves around the world. He is actually the co-inventor of “50L Home”- and has been the early pioneer to spearhead the formation of the 50LH Coalition with WBCSD & WEF– aiming for Systems-Transformation at Scale.
Kruti Patel; Head of Water at Water UK
Kruti is the Head of Water at Water UK and leads their work around water resource planning, water efficiency, leakage and water quality. Before joining Water UK, she spent 18 years in the Civil Service and four years working as the Head of Water Industry Strategy within Defra.
John Slaughter; Director of Industry Affairs for the Home Builders Federation and Strategic Advisor to the Future Homes Hub
His current work for the Future Homes Hub is focusing on developing and delivering a roadmap for future improvements in water efficiency, the problems associated with water stress and water neutrality and proposals to implement a mandatory SuDS regime for new development in England. John has previously had a general representational role at HBF, with responsibility for a wide range of policy issues at national level. His responsibilities have included political and industry liaison for HBF and representations on major legislation and regulatory change. He has had a particular policy responsibility for skills, urban design and sustainability and innovation issues. He has also led HBF’s work on the supply of housing for older people.
